We don’t live to work Chancellor. We want our lives back, not some halfway house and police state where only some of us can work and nothing else

With every day that passes, the more it looks like we are being ruled by the Government of Fucktardia.

The Lockdown, the so-called fight to ‘protect the NHS’, the Nightingale Hospitals, the Financial Support ‘measures’, the misuse of Behavioural Insights to manipulate people and the whole process of mismanaging the COVID-19 emergency so badly that the whole thing is escalating into a national crisis that will soon be out of control.

These are not the actions of a Government and senior Ministers who are fit to lead a Country at any time. Least of all now.

Yet with both the immediate and long term future now looking increasingly perilous for us all, it is clear that our Politicians are far from finished when it comes to making a bad situation even worse.

Whilst we have already been subjected to the restrictions of social distancing to try and give Politicians without imagination and ideas adequate time to come up with excuses that they confuse with what it takes to actually lead, the reality we all face – as we wake up to what they are doing, is that social distancing has been the creation of a police state with a different name.

With so many of us having been conned into thinking that this whole myth about the Lockdown being all about helping the NHS is real, we have also fallen into the trap of thinking that the wheels of life in this Country being stopped from turning was just a very temporary measure too.

The story and the reality are very different. And whilst the out of control media is now turning on the Government to keep the headlines going and voices of dissent against the Lockdown and the handling of the whole COVID-19 episode are growing by the day, the Politicians that we have in charge of the UK today still believe that they will ride the Crisis that they are creating to the end and come out on top simply by manipulating everyone into believing and acting upon whatever they say – whether it is good for us or not.

Neither the way that the Government has handled the COVID-19 Pandemic or the Lockdown itself has been good for us as the majority and population of the UK. We just don’t all see it, understand it or accept it yet.

What were the certainties in our lives have been made uncertain so that the Government  could attempt to make us believe that the uncertainties of the Coronavirus could be presented as certain.

This is irresponsibility from those who are supposed to be leaders at its very worst.

The only sensible way to have dealt with a medical emergency like this would have been to allow life to continue for everyone as normal and put the systems and procedures in place to address each and every case of Coronavirus as best as possible as and when it comes.

The Government could End the Lockdown and revert to a system like this right now too.

But instead, the Chancellor has now come out and suggested that the way they intend to move us out of the current depth of the Lockdown is to just complicate everything even more and move social distancing into every workplace, so that businesses can ‘reopen’ if no communal activities should take place or be in view.

Restaurants and meeting rooms will be banned if people can’t keep the prescribed 2 metre distance apart and you can quickly see how this arrangement will only work for some businesses and not others, and certainly not any of the ones where we can socialise, exercise or basically go to to have fun at will.

It is regrettably all too easy to see that this approach is more about the Chancellor attempting to save his own neck rather than give us our liberties back.

The realities of his failure to lockdown the economy by giving everyone and every business a payment holiday and instead try to replace it with an unaffordable giveaway that never addressed the real problems that the Lockdown has caused are a big burden to bear for everyone now – least of all him and his ego.

The reality of this approach will be to set in stone the police state approach to managing our lives in every way that we have been experiencing since the 23rd of March, and with it only a piecemeal return to work for some of us who work in sectors and industries where our jobs aren’t about facilitating anything that could remotely be regarded as being fun, enjoyment or in any way social for anyone.

This really is a fucktarded approach to employ as it is clearly the product of politicians and advisers who are either completely out of their depth or obsessed with ideas they have read in books or heard in lecture halls. It has neither been borne of understanding of the realities of leading a country and its people or indeed what the conspiracists will be falling over themselves to label as being deliberate intent.

Whilst some intelligent arguments are being made against supporting this Government in an election at any time again, we desperately need an alternative to all of the Politicians  that we have currently got.

They have all gained the responsibility that they have and are in many cases misusing through a political system that is so broken, it will continue to ensure that we keep getting a Government of fucktards, rather than the natural, strong, caring and compassionate world-class leaders and statesman that we actually want to have a safe and secure future and desperately need right here, right now, in this Country to deal with  with a real, grown-up crisis today.

Waiting for the next election for the opportunity to clear up a catastrophic mess then that was preventable if we had different politicians leading is today will not be enough then and it certainly isn’t enough now.

We need a new Government right now before the Politicians we have reach the end of the list of the things that they can and will royally fuck up for us all.

That means it’s time to go a very different way.
