A Space for Difficult Situations

Every so often someone ends up in a situation where the usual ways of understanding things stop being helpful. It might be something in an organisation, a community, a project, or something personal – but the common thread is that the normal tools don’t get you anywhere.

If you’re in that kind of place, and you think I might be someone worth talking to, you’re welcome to reach out. I do take on work, but only when it’s the kind of situation where I can actually be useful.

There’s no set process. Just send a message and tell me what’s going on.

What I don’t take on

To keep things clear, here are a few things I’m not the right person for:

  • routine consultancy or standardised services
  • operational fixes or troubleshooting
  • organisational disputes or mediation
  • legal, financial, or therapeutic advice
  • academic assignments or general enquiries
  • debates for the sake of debating

The work I do tends to sit underneath all of that – in the structure, the assumptions, the frame.

Confidentiality

Anything you send me stays with me.

I don’t share emails or details with anyone else, and I don’t use what you tell me for anything other than understanding your situation. If it ever felt like someone else needed to be involved, I’d only do that with your agreement.

If you decide to write

You don’t need to write a long message. A few lines are enough.
Just tell me:

  • what’s happening
  • what you’ve already tried
  • where things feel stuck
  • why the usual approaches aren’t helping

If it’s something I can help with, I’ll reply and we can take it from there.
