What you may have realised as you read the bullet points above, is the essential ingredient of us all being able to Vote NONE OF THE ABOVE is YOU!
One of the biggest problems that we face together is the apathy that years of political inaction, broken promises, the spread of manufactured fear and the use of outright lies from Politicians and the Establishment have created.
People genuinely believe that there is no alternative to the mess that we have now.
People feel that there can be no change, because it’s the same People who will always be in control.
People believe that the best we can hope for will come by voting for the alternative that the Establishment gives us. That the alternative candidates and parties we are given, will somehow get something right or allow at least some change to happen that could at the very least prove to be some help.
Sadly, it’s all smoke and mirrors.
This story of ‘who and what will win the next Election’ that we are all experiencing in the news and media, is no better than a confidence trick – even when People from outside of the Establishment appear to be involved.
NOT because there is some kind of conspiracy.
But because everyone who is in power or believes they deserve to be in power today, thinks in exactly the same way.
These expressions of frustration, anger, distrust and disenfranchisement from the Political System we have today are shared by a growing number of People – just like me and just like you.
We feel that because we cannot Vote for good politicians and public representatives, we have had our democratic right to choose and influence our future taken away.
The situation goes from bad to worse, each and every day. Everything that Politicians, Government and Public Services seem to touch is failing. And the rules that Politicians are supposed to manage and set, seem to have done nothing but encourage private interests and big business to operate without any real kind of control.
When the People who lead us are out for themselves, how can we expect anyone else to behave differently?
The truth is, that we cannot.
But there is a way we can create alternative options for Candidates on ballot papers for us ALL to Vote for in every Election. That is, IF we accept and are then prepared to make the effort to create and be part of the change that is necessary.
Officially NONE OF THE ABOVE is a ‘How to’ guide, that will open you up to a new way of thinking about the way that Politics in a democracy should work. It provides suggestions, advice and a doorway to easy-to-access tools, using a system of Community Meetings that will help everyone to reject ALL OF THE ABOVE and then have a genuine and meaningful democratic choice.
Officially NONE OF THE ABOVE will present you with a series of TEN STEPS that can be followed, IF you want the choice of Candidates in future Elections who will work for and on behalf of you and your local Community.
PLEASE Follow it. Learn from it. Improve on it. Share it. Officially NONE OF THE ABOVE is here for you.
PLEASE NOTE: This book is not about Public Policy or Political ideas. It provides a method of putting good People into Politics, so that we then get Public Policy that corresponds.
Right now, the counts for the 2023 Local Elections are still underway within some of the Councils that opted against counting votes overnight.
I, like many who have an interest in politics, would have previously sat up most of the night, watching the results. Yet the truth of the matter is that there is very little point in doing so these days, because either an exit poll at the end of the day of a General Election, or perhaps the first hour of results coming in during the Local Election counts, will very quickly point to the next stage of the mess that we are all in.
If politics in the UK wasn’t as broken and self-serving as it now is, it wouldn’t even be worth doing that, because there would be no clear indication of what might lie ahead, until all of the results are actually in.
That we have learned to accept and believe it to be normal that we are subject to a three-way political monopoly where the only change will be the position of the blue, yellow and red deckchairs on the deck of this particular Titanic is a major travesty in itself.
However, none of us – including the ‘outsider’ parties and upcoming political groups or movements, see, understand or accept that it the UK Political System is a closed shop.
By simply waiting for elections to come around and then joining the queue – under the assumption that different messages are all that it will take to create a meaningful power shift – and therefore be the key – countless ‘new’ parties have joined a growing graveyard of those who found themselves momentarily in the public spotlight as they walked up to the door, but then found themselves asking the question ‘why don’t people get it’, as the door is slammed in their face and their arse hits the floor.
Familiarity breeds contempt. But it also fools the unknowing into believing that the untrustworthy are people who we can trust.
Put it like this, if you were to ask anyone in the street to choose between a well-known car brand and one that they’ve never heard of before, which one do you think they will point at and like?
It’s the same basic equation for people who still believe that they can trust our politicians and the Establishment they represent – only with a choice of three well known brand names that hide very old models involved.
Whilst I’ve just offered an explanation of the mechanics of why people a) vote the way they do and b) why some of them chop and change their minds in the same way as they would out car shopping, the real elephant in the room with all of this is that anyone who has real reason to ask WHY this is continuing to happen isn’t doing so – whether they are the voters themselves OR the would-be politicians and activists who are lining up in the belief that the next election will be THEIR day.
It is not only frustrating, but also frightening that normal people and all those who want to get themselves or an organisation they represent into power don’t already and actively refuse to see that there is not only a different way to play the Establishment at its own game. It will not even need a key, because if done right, it will simply remove all the walls.
STOP TELLING PEOPLE WHAT THEY SHOULD THINK.
STOP RELYING ON POLLSTERS, LIKES, FOLLOWS AND THE SWEET WORDS OF THOSE IN YOUR ECHO CHAMBERS TO HAVE ALL YOUR BIASES CONFIRMED.
STOP LOOKING UP AND THINKING YOU CAN BETTER THE IDIOCY OF THE IDIOTS IN POWER.
LOOK DOWN, LOOK ACROSS, LOOK TO THE PEOPLE IN YOUR OWN COMMUNITIES AS WELL AS ALL THOSE YOU KNOW AND LOVE. ASK THEM TO GIVE YOU THE ANSWERS TO HOW OUR WORLD SHOULD WORK AND WHAT A GOOD LIFE WOULD LOOK LIKE.
THEN AND ONLY THEN, TAKE ALL THAT YOU HAVE LEARNED, KEEP COMMUNICATING AND GET TO WORK.
No change to the electoral system, no voter ID measure, no focus on words that show just how our of touch the mainstream political parties really are is going to have the impact on voters that treating us all like adults and giving everyone the genuine opportunity to be involved and to have our opinion valued, will.
Young children are now suffering health problems that just decades ago were likely only to be experienced by a much older and very unlucky few. Obesity not only affects a significant part of the population, but it is also being championed as if it is normal, and we are vilified for daring to speak openly about such a point of view.
Like the rise in so many different health related conditions that are seriously compromising far too many people’s quality of life, the biggest proportion of all of them would be no more than an afterthought, if we were to bring back healthy eating and balanced diets in the form of basic and essential foods.
Sadly, the belief that cheap, sweet, salty, easy to buy, quick to eat ‘food’ is healthy for us is a well-crafted and massively convincing lie. We have had this nonsense repackaged by advertisers and the media in the same way that we are being told that if everyone were to consume healthy, basic and unprocessed foods, it would be more expensive than it is for us to eat it as the apparently luxury we have been conditioned to believe that it has now become.
We have been encouraged to eat the way that we eat and to feed our families the way that we do, not because it will benefit any of us. But because the foods, drinks and treats that we have become addicted to make somebody somewhere VERY rich.
What many of us don’t even realise that all of these ‘wonderful’ foods – and even the takeaways that have become a staple diet for some rather than just being an irregular treat – will have travelled many miles and been constructed artificially using ingredients that themselves may have been made in many different factories. They have traveled across continents before the end product you recognise has even been made.
It’s all part of the con called globalisation. A lie we are told we must celebrate and embrace as the legitimised truth. Because globalisation is all about international trade – which is how wars are stopped and how good relationships between different countries are made.
What the Establishment salesmen never talked about, and their pet media ignored, was the reality that jobs and communities have been lost, as well as the livelihoods that went with them.
Stupidly, we never really questioned the whole process because we were taught to become obsessed with speed of delivery, availability and what we still believe to be the lowest cost.
The reprogramming of our buying habits has contributed to or given the excuse necessary for almost all hope of this Country being Self-Sustainable in Essential Food Production being destroyed.
Meanwhile, the equally destructive EU policies that were supposed to be good for our economy within a so-called single market, also represented an advanced politicised form of the globalisation franchise. EU doctrine on food production has progressively made UK Farms all but impossible to run.
Globalisation was good whilst it lasted. Or rather, that’s what the majority of us are still expected to believe.
However, because of many different reasons that only include government responses to Covid, to Brexit, The War in Ukraine and the idiocy of Free Markets and Neoliberalism in the way that everything has been run, the supply chains that crisscross the world are now collapsing.
Forced change and possible shortages too, are only a matter of time.
As part of the so-called Great Reset or Agenda 2030, the solution to this coming problem that the elites created themselves isn’t to go back to basics and focus on localised supply chains. Indeed, whilst they actively ignore the crisis within UK Farming and in other countries where their counterparts are actively taking steps to see highly productive farms destroyed, they are instead telling us that we will all be happy eating ground up crickets and foods that have been made in a lab.
There is no good or humane reason for People to be treated this way, other than it being part of a strategy or plan to ensure that those who hold power over us now, remove our ability to support ourselves in the future.
As the crisis the Elites have created takes deeper and deeper hold, the agenda they are pursuing will ensure they will have and be able to maintain their grip on power, and we will all be dependent to a dystopian system where these few have absolute control. Unless we use the opportunity, their stupidity and greed has created, to take our own power back.
As part of The Grassroots Revolution and the rejection of everything held dear by the leaders of this dying ‘old world’, we MUST embrace a return to the most localised forms of food production and supply chains.
Food production must focus on healthy, basic and essential food items, using the absolute minimum of additional ingredients, so that our basic diets are home-produced, and this system of production is prioritised over everything else, so that the food we need, will always be available to us all in the cheapest and most accessible form.
Regrettably, because UK Agriculture has been deliberately pointed in the wrong direction for a very long time, younger generations of farmers have no working experience of anything like a truly localised food growing-to-production-to-retail system in anything like the way it historically was and will be needed now.
This means that the process of change will take time and that for reasons outside of our control, certain foods may become short.
It is therefore essential that everyone who is able use gardens, allotments, window boxes and whatever form of growing space available to ‘grow your own’. So that there will be sufficient basic and healthy essential foods available, whilst we all get behind our Farmers and develop the resources and cooperatives that will be necessary in every area.
We must do this to ensure that we have Food Security for the UK and achieve the National Self Sufficiency that we would have long since had, if politicians had been doing their job, and the greed and self-interest of the few, hadn’t been allowed to flourish and lead instead.
I have covered the subject of Basic Foods and Home Growing in detail within Levelling Level, the first book in the series leading to The Grassroots Manifesto. To read Levelling Level online or Download a FREE PDF copy, please Click HERE.
Levelling Level discusses the wider issues that we now face, how we got here and begins focusing on many of the things that we and our communities have the power to do.
In Part 3 of The Grassroots Manifesto, a series of Public Policies have been suggested for a new people-centric age. This is one of a number that relate specifically to this issue:

Self-sufficiency of people is essential to achieving the aim of the UK becoming self-sufficient in food production and providing the Community with Food Security.
It is no accident that so much change is appearing around us at the same time everything we previously considered to be normal is falling apart.
Contrary to what many of those who have awakened or are awakening to what is really happening and the process that is underway may feel, there is no benefit to being angry or even frustrated with those who are still invested in The System as it is.
The world today is massively complex and complicated, and deliberately so. There isn’t just one ‘rabbit hole’; there is a rabbit hole for everyone, depending upon where their own priorities lie and what they believe to be true or to exist.
This means that the task of confusing and misleading the majority with acts and events that are no more than smokescreens or sleight of hand, has been made very easy to succeed. Especially when the vein of commonality that reaches between everyone who remains bought into The System is that everything in life is easy and can only get easier, and that above everything else, its money, wealth, influence and power that are absolute king.
So, unless you are one of those directly and knowingly affected by a change, you are unlikely to see or even be interested in any down-side or the negative outcomes for others.
Yet deep down, you know that the greed that drives such changes is the same greed that gave you what you have and maybe even put you where you are.
This dangerously premature release of AI Chatbots is, at the very least, borne of the arrogance of very clever and intelligent people who believe they can programme their way out of anything.
In reality however, it is more likely an act driven by an Establishment whose ideals are now exploding everything they have built around them, making the same small-minded and inhumanly selfish people who caused these problems, desperate to maintain control over everyone, without revealing any more than is necessary about what drives them, and who they really are.
I only touched on the ethical conundrum that is the predictable push to prioritise the use of AI over people and the impact on jobs and livelihoods that it would replace.
I did so, assuming that profit-driven commercial monoliths would at least wait to do so, until such time as the integrity, honesty and reliability of AI Chatbots and all technologically aligned systems could at the very least be guaranteed.
This is where the real war between those who believe that wealth and power makes them different or better, and all others who have nothing or just much less, not only breaks out of its long manufactured cover, but where the canyon between us emerges and humanities experience of a very different kind of battlefield could well be about to begin.
Parts 1, 2 and 3 of The Grassroots Manifesto work through the steps that will be necessary as we walk the pathway of taking back control as the majority awaken through the process of The Great Reset.
The core value of a People centric culture or society will be that we always put People first in all that we do.
Having rejected the money and greed driven direction of everything that has led up to and includes the Great Reset – as the Establishment sees it – itself, we must embrace the reality that whilst businesses exist to provide a product or a service to its customers and not to create jobs in itself, within the new world or new earth, all businesses will exist to benefit humanity in some way.
If business and organisations only exist to benefit humanity, there is no good reason to replace jobs with technology, unless the cost of production or of the product itself is directly lowered or brought down in exactly the same proportion or way.
Technology should only be used to improve working conditions. Not to replace the condition of working and making a contribution to society itself. (See The Grassroots Manifesto | Policy 5 | Science & Technology | lxxxii)
